We're not sure how much longer Joe Thornton is going to play for, but we need to appreciate 'Jumbo Joe' while he's playing in the NHL because we're going to miss him when he's gone.
Thornton and the Sharks are in Calgary to face the Flames Thursday night and before the team's morning practice, Thornton noticed a woman in the stands who's a big fan of his teammate Barclay Goodrow. What happened next is why we love Thornton and hockey in general.
Acts of kindness like this warm our heart and Jumbo Joe is always going out of his way to put a smile on a fan's face.
We hope this isn't Thornton's last year in the NHL, but if it is, we hope he and the Sharks can make a run in the playoffs to send him off with his first Stanley Cup.
