In his first game against his former team, Marcus Peters had the last laugh.
On Monday night, the Baltimore Ravens embarrassed the Los Angeles Rams with a 45-6 win at the Memorial Coliseum. The contest marked the first since Peters was traded from the Rams earlier this season in order to pursue Jalen Ramsey, and it’s safe to say revenge was on his mind. The 26-year-old recorded his third interception (in just five games!) with his new squad and helped lead the Ravens to their fifth consecutive win. Peters has never been one to shy away from a little trash-talk and neither has Ramsey, so it wasn’t surprising to see the two defensive backs going at each other on the field after the game.
But things got a little more heated than expected...
And it didn’t stop on the field. Ramsey had to be restrained in the tunnel as he headed back to the Rams’ locker room.
Okay... so this might have had something to do with Peters running his mouth at Ramsey following his interception. After picking off Jared Goff, Peters appeared to chant ‘Jalen’ from the sideline.
The Rams are just 3-2 since trading for Ramsey and sit outside of the NFL’s playoff picture at 6-5. It’s safe to say things have worked out pretty well so far for Peters and the Ravens.
