Where do you see yourself at the age of, say, 70? Whatever it is, it is assuredly not as impressive as Orville Rogers, who is 100 years old, completing a 60-metre dash in 19.13 seconds to set a new record in the 100-plus age bracket. Yes, somehow, that exists.

By the way, that speed demon crushing the field in lane 5? That’s 90 year old Edward Cox, who completed the dash in 11.73 seconds. (Different age groups often race simultaneously, to expedite track events.)
Not to be outdone, 102 year old Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins set a record of her own over in the women’s 100-plus division, completing the 60-metre in 24.79 seconds.
Imagine being 102 years old and being known as the Hurricane. If you needed additional motivation to stay in shape, remember that at any given moment, these seniors are ready to put you to shame on the track.
