They're not even a year old yet, but the NWHL's Toronto Six have already had a massive impact upon women's hockey in Canada.
With the absence of organized professional women's hockey in the country since the the CWHL folded, Canadian hockey fans have been craving a women's team to get behind for some time now. So far, the Six have proven to be an excellent squad to cheer for.
After dropping their first two games of the season, the Six are on a four game winning streak that's been packed to the brim with excitement and drama. Between the excellent personalities this team boasts and the entertainment they've provided on and off the ice, there's really no reason to NOT get behind this team as a Canadian hockey fan.
Unless, of course, you're a Toronto hater - which we understand.
Some Canadian fans from other cities WANT to support the Six, but they just can't get over their hatred of Toronto sports teams. If you're one of those people, we have good news.
Erica Ayala, one of the most trusted NWHL sources in the game, reported last night that the Toronto Six's head coach and president, Digit Murphy, alluded to the possibility of an additional Canadian team being added to the mix.
As soon as they caught wind of the news, fans were already starting to dream up new teams.
We'll definitely have our eyes peeled for more info here. There's nothing like a good ole' Canadian rivalry in hockey!
