The Edmonton Oilers were an absolute powerhouse in the 1980’s. They won the Stanley Cup back-to-back two separate times and won the Cup five times in a seven-year span. Everyone and anyone wanted to see the hottest team in hockey during their dominant years, so you could imagine that their games because a hotspot for celebrities.

Actor Gary Coleman was one of the many celebrities who took in an Oilers game during those years, and even got to meet the players after one of the games. He snapped a photo with Mark Messier, that many Oilers fans are familiar with to this day.

Well it turns out someone turned that photo into an oil painting, and it’s hanging on the wall of a bar in Jasper, Alberta, for all too see.

Coleman was in town at the time doing a promotional tour for “Diff’rent Strokes” and the Oilers had just won a playoff series, so he headed down to the dressing room to greet the players and congratulate them, that’s when he got the photo with Messier. However, we’re guessing the Moose never expected the picture to live on in a bar after all these years.
