The world of wrestling takes Ottawa tonight, as WWE is in town for an untelevised house show. Of course, they couldn’t resist indulging in a bit of Canadiana, because why not play to the crowd a bit?
In the main event of tonight’s show, Braun Strowman busted out the hockey stick, inflicting all kinds of pain to Baron Corbin. Bah gawd, that man has a family!
Gotta say, we’re just a little curious about the decision to go with the hockey stick there, and then he just tosses it away! But, we can't say that we've never wondered what it would be like to just see somebody whaling away with a hockey stick.
This isn’t the first time that wrestling has nodded to hockey, although we don’t think Leafs fans were much happy about the crossover during the WWE’s last trip to Toronto, when Elias had some chirps for John Tavares and the Leafs. Fortunately, though, Toronto’s own Trish Stratus was on hand to slap some sense into the wrestling superstar.
