Colton Saucerman is the epitome of hockey.
When you couple a beard of that magnitude with that name, you have to have expected that Saucerman would become a sensation in the hockey world since he signed with the Utica Comets earlier this year.
Obviously, he hasn’t disappointed.
Utica fans were seen sporting beards almost immediately when Saucerman arrived, and the internet absolutely lost it when he recorded his first AHL goal against the Providence Bruins on Wednesday night.
The Utica Comets are capitalizing upon Saucerman’s evident popularity, and are releasing limited edition ‘Get Sauced Utica’ shirts that feature Saucerman’s signature beard.
If you didn’t think that Saucerman could be a bigger beauty, hold on to your hats, because all of the proceeds from the shirt sales will be donated Save of the Day FDN, who will donate the funds to pediatric cancer.
The shirts, which we have decided we definitely need to get our hands on, seem to only be available for in-store purchase at this time, but we imagine that their inevitable popularity will inspire some further sales in the future.
Colton Saucerman, you just keep getting better.
