It took us a while, but the Toronto Blue Jays will finally play their first home game of the season against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. It won’t be Rogers Centre as usual, though. Their new home for the season is going to be the Sahlen Field in Buffalo, home of their Triple-A affiliate Buffalo Bisons with a few modifications made to accommodate the Jays.
Even if it isn't really their home ballpark, it’ll still be nice for the Jays to have somewhere to call home — and, it isn’t even so far from home!
There have also been a number of interior modifications made so that home really does feel like home for the Blue Jays, including the team clubhouse, manager's office and weight room.
The Jays have struggled out of the gate so far this season with a 5-8 record, but maybe the peace of mind of having a home once again can be the spark they need to turn things around.
