It looks like we might finally know what the Ottawa Senators will be rocking on home ice next season.
On Sunday night, Reddit User anothercanuck18 posted a photo of a Sens sweater with a ‘Fanatics’ logo on the bottom right, claiming it was put on display in the Kemptville, Ontario Canadian Tire. The Athletic initially reported the team would be returning to its original logo nearly eight weeks ago and that seems to be the case if this does turn out to be the correct jersey. The Sens also appeared to return to their original ‘S’ patch on the shoulders.
According to Icethetics, the pictured sweater is a women’s fashion jersey (based on its wider collar and tapered wastelines), but do generally match the overall design. For reference, here’s a look at what the two types of jerseys look like side by side.
As for the pants, The Athletics’ Hailey Salvian reported in her July story on the jerseys that both the homes and aways will be worn with black pants that will include the alternate ‘S’ logo on the right leg. Based on the information from the report and the latest leak, Icethetics’ Chris Smith came up with the following jersey designs:
We’ll just have to wait and see if this turn out to be the right one but if this is it… we’re pumped to see them on the ice!
