Daniel and Henrik Sedin have been widely considered the best brother combination in the history of the game, and now they have the stats to back it up.
Daniel became just the 37th player in NHL history to notch 1000 points in the NHL when he scored to tie things up at 3-3 in the third period against the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.
Canucks rookie Brock Boeser notched his second of the game after Daniel’s goal, and the team never looked back, beating the Nashville Predators 5-3.
With Daniel getting to 1000, he joined brother Henrik as the only brothers in NHL history to both score 1000 points. Daniel became just the 19th player to record 1000 plus points and play for a single franchise. It was a bittersweet day for Canucks fans with Derek Dorsett being forced to retire, and Daniel's milestone plus the Canucks win was a positive way to round out the day.
In twin like fashion, it was only Daniel that made history on Thursday. Brother Henrik moved past Guy Lafleur for 32nd all on the NHL’s assist list with his 794th helper.
