On Saturday, the Sacramento Kings took on the Cleveland Cavaliers and people were tuning in for a very special broadcast.
The Toronto Raptors and TSN broadcast made history as Canada's first-ever all-female NBA broadcast and the Sacramento Kings broadcast also made history on Saturday night with the franchiseโs first all-women and non-binary broadcast announcing and covering the team.
The Kings/Cav's broadcast will have Krista Blunk, who does play-by-play for the Pac-12 and was previously an analyst for the Sacramento Monarchs, calling the game, as well as Kayte Hunter, Kings analyst, and former WNBA player.
NBC Sports California host Laura Britt will anchor Kings Pregame Live and Kings Postgame Live. New York Liberty guard Layshia Clarendon, a WNBA All-Star, will deliver pregame and postgame analysis, and in-game commentary.
Head coach Luke Walton gave them a shoutout before the game in support of the broadcast.
And support was pouring in from everyone watching.
