There’s a lot of moments in history that are much, much, bigger than sports, but somehow, sports always seem like a common denominator in communities when they need to pull together and get through something horrific.

The bombing of the Boston Marathon in 2013 was one of those moments.

The city of Boston rallied together in order to get through the horrific experience, and the cities’ beloved sports teams played a big part in getting Boston through the brutal time.

Really powerful stuff.

There will always be a connection between the Red Sox and the tragedy that happened that day in Boston, and today, the Red Sox revealed some gorgeous new jerseys as a nod to the marathon.

Stunning. The Red Sox are one of seven MLB teams who will be rocking Nike City Connect jerseys this season, and they’ll debut theirs on a very fitting occasion: Patriot’s Day weekend.

We love to see a city come together like this, and we can’t wait to see these in action.
