Green is the colour of choice on St. Patrick’s Day, unless you’re a fan of the Minnesota Vikings -- in which case you could never be caught dead in the colours of the rival Green Bay Packers, right?
Sure, nothing wrong with that. The Philadelphia Eagles’ Twitter account, however, had other ideas. In less than ten minutes after the initial tweet from the Vikings account, the Eagles, also noted wearers of the colour green, had their facts in order:
Yessir. That is recently signed Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins standing next to Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles, both dressed in Michigan State Spartans green. This is like being caught red-handed, but like, green.
No word yet on how the Vikings’ Twitter account will respond to this massive burn, although it seems that if the team was really willing to put their money where their mouth is, they have to trade Cousins now, right? Thinking emoji indeed.
