Last week a gunman open fired inside a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, killing 22 people and injuring 24 others.
On Thursday night, the San Diego Padres played their first game at home since the tragic incident and honoured the victims and their families in more ways than one. When they took to the field for batting practice, every single player and manager rocked an El Paso cap instead of their usual Padres cap.
When it came time for the game to get started, there was a moment of silence held, not just for the victims of the El Paso shooting, but for every victim from all the tragedies that occurred place in the United States over the past week.
