The San Diego Padres made history last night when they hit a grand slam in four straight games. It all started on Monday night when Fernando Tatis Jr. swung on a 3-0 count while the Padres were sitting on a 7 run lead. Following that, Wil Myers, Manny Machado and Eric Hosmer hit grand slams in consecutive games to make it four in a row.
Prior to the Padres fourth consecutive grand slam, one man put a lot on the line.
To his defense, a single grand slam in baseball is rare enough. After three straight games, there was no way the Padres could pull it off again. Unfortunately for @DannyVietti, Eric Hosmer did, and this was the result.
Respect to Danny for following through with his tweet and rocking the diaper. At least he wasn’t one of those people who say they’ll eat their own shoe if ___ happens. We’ve heard that shoes are hard to get down.
