We honestly didn’t think it was possible to more excited than Alexander Ovechkin about the Washington Capitals’ Stanley Cup win.
Basically every day since Game 5, the Captials have been celebrating their win and Ovi has been leading the charge. With a swim in a public fountain, a Stanley Cup keg stand and so much more, Ovi has shown his excitement in many ways. Even his speech at yesterday’s parade was an exciting moment, but we’re not sure it’s possible to be more excited than this fan being interviewed by NBC Washington.
So, just to wrap that up, he stated that this is moment will be better than “His future wedding and better than when [his] future child is born”. That’s a bold statement, but we honestly believe him. We’ve never seen anyone that passionate about anything.
They should just bring this guy into the locker room to get them pumped before next season – you’re going to run through a wall if he screams another legendary speech like this one. Maybe that could help prevent a Stanley Cup hangover as well.
Now if only they had something to help a real hangover.
