The Edmonton Oilers are coming off of a disappointing 2017/18 season, but there are high hopes for a bounce back this season (when you have Connor McDavid on your team, there's always hope).
There are reasons to be excited if you're an Oilers fan and the team announced one of them on Tuesday as they'll be bringing back this retro jersey:
The Oilers will wear this jersey four times this season against former Smythe Division teams. They'll also be rocking the 40th anniversary jersey patch all season long.
As you can see, fans love this jersey and actually want the Oilers to make it their home jersey. Hopefully in the coming years they'll wear it more than four times and we can get to that point when it's permanent.
