The Ontario Hockey League's Flint Firebirds were showing love to another Flint-based team this weekend, and even if you're not up on your Flint-based sports, Will Ferrell fans will surely know this one.
That's right: The Firebirds took to the ice with custom jerseys inspired by Jackie Moon's Flint Tropics, from the film Semi-Pro.
The Flint Tropics may have been a basketball team, but we’ve gotta say, these jerseys look every bit as slick on ice — those stripes running down the leg! Perhaps the only drawback is that the Firebirds weren’t able to rock the headband with these jerseys.
