Everyone knows that Danica Patrick and Aaron Rodgers are sport’s new power couple. The ground-breaking female auto racer and the NFL’s two-time MVP quarterback announced that they had entered a relationship back in January, and since then they’ve appeared at multiple events and on social media as a couple. The two super athletes are undoubtedly one of the most intimidating when it comes to power couples, but not for everyone.
Apparently Marquette King, a punter for the Denver Broncos, did not know that Patrick and Rodgers were dating.
During Friday’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics, Patrick and Rodgers were shown on the broadcast. This is unsurprising considering Rodgers is a stakeholder of the Bucks, and Patrick is his girlfriend, but King took the news a little hard. As a result, the NFL’s funniest punter (at least since Pat McAfee retired) took to Twitter to voice his opinion.
King has become known for his out-there personality. When the Oakland Raiders, who King played for before signing with the Broncos, released him in a surprising move, some people believed it was a result of King’s personality – and his tendency to pick up penalties after the whistle for taunting.
Never a dull moment with Marquette King.
