Is there anything better than a picture that features hockey AND dogs? Our answer to that is no, and you’re out of your mind if you think otherwise.
The New Year is just a few short months away and the New York Islanders are preparing for the occasion the right way; by making the most adorable calendar known to mankind featuring a bunch of Golden Retrievers. The 2019 Isles ‘Pucks and Paws’ calendar benefits the Guide Dog Foundation and will feature a whole group of players. Forward Brock Nelson kicked things off and got a couple of licks to the face in the process.
A couple of Islanders also cracked the Isles’ Insta page, including star sophomore Mat Barzal. How could you not be all smiles while holding these little dudes!
Okay, enough of the young guys. Newly appointed captain Anders Lee clearly has a soft spot for K9’s as well.
And the winner for best photo (that we’ve seen so far) goes to Casey Cizikas, who decided to jump in a laundry bin with his little buddies. Despite the stench, he was still having the time of his life.
The calendars will go on sale starting November 23 and should fly off the shelves.
