The Oakland A’s have been rolling recently and they kept things going last night with some help from centre fielder Ramon Laureano’s arm.

Oakland jumped out to an early 5-0 lead but the Los Angeles Angels started to show some life in the bottom of the third. That was all put to an end, though, after Laureano threw out Eric Young Jr. with a 321-foot dart from centre field. This one was plain and simply the throw of the year.

Um… excuse me Mr. Laureano? That was absolutely INSANE!

The throw brought back some serious memories from one that also went down in an A’s uniform not too long ago. Ironically enough, it even came against the same team! Can you recall when Yoenis Cespedes chucked perhaps the laser of the century in 2014?

Jeez.

Oakland went on to win the game 7-0 and have won nine of their last 10 contests. An improbable run has put them just 3.5 games behind the Houston Astros in the AL West and in the second Wild Card spot behind the Yankees. If they hope to make it to October ball, they’re going to need some more magic like this.
