What a whirlwind month it’s been for John Tavares leading up to the start of the season, right? Just before training camp, he became a father for the first time, and on opening night, he was officially revealed as the Leafs’ 25th team captain.
Shortly after Tavares hit the ice with the C, the Leafs offered a look behind the scenes of when they first broke the news to him.
Adorably, JT’s newborn son Jace and his wife Aryne featured into the presentation. The first Tavares to rock the C for the Leafs? It’s not John, it’s actually Jace!
What a way to make the moment even more special for JT. We love that for him.
