The Lakers released a statement about the loss of Kobe and Gianna Bryant

People around the sports world are still finding ways to pay tribute to Kobe Bryant and honour the 5-time champion’s life as they continue to try to wrap their head around the tragic accident from this past weekend.

We’ve heard from players and teams around the NBA, but on Wednesday night the Los Angeles Lakers broke their silence on social media and shared a statement about Kobe, Gianna, and the other victims of Sunday’s accident.

We are devastated and have been forever changed by the sudden loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. We send our love to Vanessa, the Bryant family, and to the families of the other passengers.

The team concluded their statement similar to Vanessa Bryant’s, encouraging people to help support the families affected by the tragedy and to help further Kobe and Gianna’s legacy through the MambaOnThree Fund.
