After their last game was postponed while the organzation mourned the death of Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers are returning to action with a home game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.
There will be a Kobe Bryant shirt on each seat at Staples Center for fans in attendance, with No. 8 and 24 shirts on each side of the arena.
There will definitely be more tributes planned for Kobe throughout the night. His impact is not just felt among players and coaches, but across the entire organization among employees that have worked with the team for years and years, in many cases extending back to Kobe’s own playing career.
Already, Frank Vogel has revealed that the coaching staff will honour Kobe with their own gesture by wearing his Nike sneakers on the bench tonight.
