Everyone is calling the Carolina Hurricanes jerks these days.
The club earned the title after Don Cherry infamously coined them the term for their victory celebrations after home wins. Rather than lashing back, the team embraced it and started selling shirts with ‘bunch of jerks’ written across the chest. With the LA Kings set to take on the Canes tonight in Raleigh, the social team figured the club should get in on the action and decided to make a fun little promo of their own. Someone better get the players a t-shirt after the game!
You might want to considering purchasing one yourself. They’re actually pretty nice!
If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t happened to see any of the celebrations that earned them the name, here’s an example of a few. We’ve got to say though, they’ve been pretty awesome to watch all year.
The BarDown hockey team might want to start selling some shirts of their own, because they’re also being coined as jerks these days.
