The Los Angeles Kings don’t have a lot going for them this year, but one thing they always seem to have is an A+ social media game.
The Kings and the Dallas Stars seem to be the original trolls of hockey team social media and the Kings showed what a veteran presence can do on Twitter. Of course at this point, most fans are aware that Kovalchuk’s exit from New Jersey was a pretty ugly one, but he did have a great time while he was there. He scored a lot and the Devils tweeted about it a lot…
So, the Kings decided to use it against them.
That wasn’t the only one they used either, they spread some fake news by suggesting that the Devils fans were at all happy to see Kovalchuk back on their home ice.
The Devils fans had some fun too though, making it very clear how they felt about Kovalchuk’s return.
