Sam Darnold became the youngest quarterback to ever start a NFL season opener on Monday night at 21 years, 97 days, and it was a start he definitely wishes he could have back.
On his first professional snap, the 2018 third overall pick ended up getting picked off by Quandre Diggs, who returned it all the way to the house for a pick-6.
Considering Darnold was the second quarterback taken in the draft and third overall, football fans were quick to welcome him to the NFL in different ways.
Definitely not the start Jets fans had in mind from the man who is supposed to be their franchise quarterback.
