Over the weekend, Nationals superstar Bryce Harper joined baseball’s exclusive club of players that sport glasses out on the field.
The Nationals played the Dodgers in a double-header on Saturday, and when Harper came up to bat, the baseball world was caught off guard.
Harper supposedly had troubles putting in his contacts on Saturday morning, which is why he opted to wear glasses.
Of course, the internet had their fun with his new look.
If there’s anyone that can pull off the clear frame eye magnifiers, it’s Harper, who recently showed off his love for the Vegas Golden Knights by wearing one of their helmets.
According to an article in the Washington Post from 2011, Harper is “blind as a bat,” so he improvised and became four-eyes for a game (he didn't wear them on Sunday).
