The NBA’s impending free agent frenzy is going to be a doozy. So many superstars are available to sign this summer, and so many interested parties have the cap space to make it happen. This could be a drastically changed league in a day or two.
One report suggests that Jimmy Butler has interest in playing for the Miami Heat. They would have to clear cap space to make it happen, but you know the Heat are always chasing superstars.
What’s funny about this is that six years ago, Butler was singing a very different tune!
Of course, back then, Butler was playing on a Chicago Bulls team that held aspirations of knocking off the Big Three era Heat led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. So, you know, a different context.
It seems his mind was changed when he saw the red carpet that the Heat laid out for Wade during his final home game in Miami. That was truly a remarkable moment, and you can certainly understand why any superstar would want that kind of treatment.
