Real Madrid won the Champions League crown for the third straight season, but the victory wasn't without controversy.
In the first half, Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah was forced to leave the game due to a dislocated shoulder, as per reports, after getting tangled up with Sergio Ramos.
The DIRTY play by Sergio Ramos to injure Mohamed Salah in the Champions League Final.

Many perceive Ramos to be a dirty player and this incident surely didn't quiet that noise on social media.Anybody who watches this video and says Ramos didn’t try to injure Salah is either lying, crazy or both. #UCLFinal pic.twitter.com/kHNs5pH1FW

Sergio Ramos statement after the game: “I’m devastated to hear that Mo Salah will miss the World Cup and I have crushed the dreams of a nation; I only meant to brutally injure him for this game and crush the dreams of a city”.

This is Sergio Ramos trying to wrench Mo Salah’s arm from its socket.

Not sure how you can consider Ramos’s history and not conclude it was malicious.
And on top of that, he might have robbed everybody from seeing one of the best players in the world at the World Cup. #UCLfinal pic.twitter.com/fRCCpGfSg5
It took Egyptians 28 years to qualify for the World Cup and Mohamed Salah was the reason we finally made it. Ramos took all of that way, in the nastiest and unethical way possible.

Salah crying. Hopefully the great man makes the World Cup. All of Egypt going to go after Ramos now. Dirty thug.

Honestly, that was a disgrace from Sergio Ramos. He's ended @MoSalah's night, and possibly his World Cup with a cynical, horrible foul. Believe me, Ramos knew what he was doing there, dragging the arm down like that and holding. Red card all day. #UCLfinal

Disgraceful foul from Sergio Ramos. He cynically took Mo Salah out of the game. As a Manchester United supporter and an advocate for fair play, I have my utmost sympathies for Liverpool tonight.#UCLFinal #Liverpool #RealLiverpool #RealMadrid pic.twitter.com/rV4zuiKNj9

Ramos intentionally injured Salah...and he enjoys lifting the Champions League trophy #Shameful

'No no no. Ramos didn't hurt Salah with intention. He wouldn't do that. It's just a tackle. Ramos is a top professional'. pic.twitter.com/ICshrIUafL

Analysis will be all about Karius now, which is a tragedy for the kid. But something truly disturbing watching Ramos lift the UCL trophy, when it was his cynical, pre-meditated, horrible, horrible assault on Mo Salah that changed the course of this game. Tainted victory #UCLfinal

Ramos has a bit of a history of plays like this and in last year's Champions League Final against Juventus, this dive from him got a Juventus player sent off.Salah: I wanna win the #UCLfinal

Salah wasn't able to return to the game, but we hope he's able to represent his country at the World Cup next month.
