Hockey is back, the Hurricanes are back, and you better believe the Storm Surge is back.
Kicking off their season with a shootout win against the Canadiens at home, the Canes brought back an oldie but a goodie for their first Storm Surge of the season. Do you remember the very first Storm Surge ever?
It’s back!
Now this is a good way to start Storm Surging for the year. Forget the gimmicks for a moment — with the Storm Surge, they are literally all going to be gimmicks — but throwing it back the original is a nice little way to mark the start of Year 2 of the tradition.
The Storm Surge may not be popular with everyone, but clearly, it’s here to stay. It’s in the game!
