In Canada, you won’t find a bunch more proud than that of hockey dads. Hockey dads inspire their sons and daughters, and help them to become the best they can be in the sport.
Of all the hockey dads in Canada, there’s one that stands out in the crowd. He raised the greatest hockey player of all-time, and he did so humbly and with a smile.
On Thursday, the hockey world said goodbye to Walter Gretzky, father of Wayne.
RIP to the greatest hockey dad of all time. 🧡💙 https://t.co/oVEArAH4s4

It is often said that you will be remembered for what you do for others, and Walter Gretzky will be remembered forever. Never too busy to take a photo or sign an autograph, Walter left a lasting impression on everyone he met and he will forever be Canada’s Hockey Dad. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/NC0VqdBAgV

When Walter walked into a room, we all felt the presence of Greatness. When he left the room we all felt better about ourselves because that’s what he did. He made us all feel better about ourselves. Thank you Wally. https://t.co/RNf4s7VLsH
