Devastating news in the hockey world, as the SJHL's Melfort Mustangs announced the passing of 18-year-old Dylan Ashe on Sunday.

Ashe was involved in a single-car accident near Whitefox, Saskatchewan. He was also a prospect of the WHL’s Lethbridge Hurricanes, and he was expected to join the team’s camp with a chance to compete for a roster spot.

As always in times of crisis, the hockey world came together to express their condolences and provide their support for the grieving family. News like this is never easy to accept, but the community will always be there for each other and that will never not be encouraging to witness.
