We know hockey fights are kind of going out of style, but there’s something about a good old fashioned Sunday afternoon tilt that still does it for us, especially when they’re as electric as this one.
The Hersey Bears took on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins yesterday afternoon in AHL action, and the Bears managed to squeak out of the tightly-fought battle with a 2-0 win. The game itself wasn’t the only hard-fought battle on the ice yesterday, and midway through the second, Bears’ tough guy Kale Kessy dropped the mitts with the Penguins’ Kyle Olson after he laid a big hit on a teammate, and the fight was great.
The best part, though? The way that Kessy took perfectly cocky skate past the Scranton bench after taking care of business.
Gotta love a little swag in your game after a tilt!
