Hockey numbers.

They’re a highly contested subject.

Of course, 99 is retired league-wide, but it’s rare that players on certain teams will go anywhere near numbers like 87 or anything of the sort.

Hockey names, though? Should people avoid repeating those?

We’re just kidding. You can’t change your name, and now, there’s a second Bobby Orr in hockey.

Robert Orr of Beaconsfield, QB, was drafted 74th overall by the Saint John Sea Dogs in the 2019 QMJHL Entry Draft, and he was transferred to the Halifax Mooseheads soon after.

He tore it up for the Lac St-Louis Lions AAA program last season with 45 points in 42 games, and now, with the QMJHL being the only Major Junior league set to get underway on time, Bobby Orr is going to make his QMJHL debut.

How weird does that sound?

We know he’s a forward, but we’d love this Bobby Orr light it up just like the original one.
