Earlier this week, Carey Price broke Jacques Plante’s long-standing Canadiens record with his 315th career win. Not a bad achievement at all for the 31-year-old Habs lifer, and he has plenty of career left to continue to pad his total.

To commemorate his wins record, the Canadiens held a special pre-game ceremony on Saturday to honour their long-time netminder. His teammates presented a signed No. 315 jersey, and he was also presented with a golden stick inscribed with the details of his record-setting win to pass Plante.

It’s a pretty special moment indeed for Price, who has spent all 12 seasons of his NHL career with the Habs since they made him the fifth overall pick in the 2005 draft. Plante, a Hall of Famer, won 437 games in his career, good for 9th all-time, but a fraction of those were for other teams over the course of his 19-year career.

Also chiming in to congratulate Price was his former Canadiens teammate P.K. Subban, who posted a delightful series of photos to Instagram reflecting on their time together. This guy is just an absolute beauty.
