Hockey is finally back, and the Golden Knights found an inspired way to mark the occasion: They sent their ceremonial faceoff puck for opening night to space!

For two hours, the puck floated around in space attached to a weather balloon, and it went as high as 94,656 feet before coming back down to Earth.

Way to get pucks in deep, guys.

The puck’s full two-hour journey was documented in a live video on the Golden Knights’ Facebook page. Haven’t seen Gravity with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney? Just watch this instead!

Don’t worry, the puck made it back to solid ground in time for the game.

For their next space-related conquest, we hope the Golden Knights storm Area 51.
