On Monday, the Seahawks officially welcomed Marshawn Lynch back to Seattle to close out the rest of their season. The signing was made in response to losing both Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise to injury in week 16. Lynch is expected to take control of the backfield and will be in the lineup when the Hawks host the San Francisco 49ers for the NFC West crown.
The move has been popular with both fans, and players. According to Seahawks insider Joe Fann, some of the teamās younger players were āstarstruckā when they saw Lynch in the locker room for the first time. The players apparently tried to keep their cool, but couldnāt.
A true legend!
Lynch spent nearly six seasons in Seattle, leading the Seahawks to Super Bowl 48 and an appearance in Super 49. Despite his strong play (five Pro Bowls between 2008-2014), itās been the 33-year-oldās off-field soundbites that has made him a legend in the football world. Just look at his first presser back with the team from Tuesday night.
The NFL is a better league with #24 back in it!
