Fortnite has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world and if this challenge takes off, it could quickly get out of hand.
It’s a high-intensity game and as we saw with the Toronto Maple Leafs, people can get frustrated. Mitch Marner explained that Auston Matthews doesn’t get very frustrated playing hockey, but he does get pretty frustrated playing Fortnite. So, we can’t imagine what would happen if this happened with the Leafs crew.
Players across the NHL have been playing Fortnite, so we kind of hope this reaches their circle. If we were to call on anyone to pull it off, it might be J.T. Brown’s wife, Lexi.
Brown is probably the most prominent gamer in the NHL, actually having his own setup and Twitch stream. She has tweeted several times about her husband’s Fortnite obsession, so we could only imagine that he would have a pretty passionate reaction if his system was turned off mid-game. That would definitely get him more frustrated than he ever would playing hockey.
