OHL and AHL teams have a lot more freedom when it comes to custom jerseys and team nights. We’ve seen this lately with the Providence Bruins doing a ‘Back to the Future’ styled jersey, and the Springfield Thunderbirds rocking the Ice-O-Topes look from The Simpsons.
For the Flint Firebirds of the OHL, there’s one collaboration that just makes a ton of sense, and they made an entire night for it.
The Firebirds had an evening inspired by Flint Tropics starring Will Farrell. Not only are the uniforms gorgeous, but the players also got into the spirit with some 70’s outfits.
We’ll never get tired of hockey teams showing off new fits. That’s of course assuming that they stay as well done as these ones.
