Pretty much everyone is getting in on the ‘trolling game’ these days. We see it from fans, more often than not team Twitter accounts and heck, we even see it from the players. But when an arena’s organist takes a go at it, that’s when you know things are starting to get a little nuts.

The Arizona Coyotes hosted the Vegas Golden Knights last night at Gila River Arena where fans stood witness to a gutless act by the team’s marquee musician. During breaks in play, the organist played Imagine Dragons music, a band with connections to the Golden Knights for all the wrong reasons.

If you didn’t keep up with the Stanley Cup Finals last June and aren’t aware of the connection, then here’s you explanation. Basically the team got caught with an Imagine Dragons curse dating back to last year, as their stats and record significantly dropped off after they opened for Game 2 at T-Mobile Arena against the Washington Capitals. Perhaps this tweet will give you a little perspective on just how bad things got after their performance.

On October 13th, Knightsonice.com actually tracked the stats just to prove how bad things had gotten.

Yikes...

The Golden Knights did end up getting the last laugh, however, as they squeeked past their Pacific division opponent with a 3-2 overtime win. Still, the team sits 24th in the league at 10-12-1 and haven’t seemed to recover from last year’s final.
