The Arizona/Phoenix Coyotes have had a lot of uncertainty in their future for a long time, but with new owner Alex Meruelo at the helm, it seems like they might finally have some consistency.
His introductory press conference was held on Thursday and after stating that he vowed to keep the team in Arizona, he expressed his desires for the team. The Coyotes are currently second place in active playoff droughts, so the mantra is pretty simple: Meruelo wants to win. Although, he had a slightly NSFW way of saying that.
For Coyotes fans, it has to be exciting.
The post of that quote is now number one on their subreddit and you can see from a couple fans on Twitter that they’re definitely a little hyped. Maybe Meruelo can do what Tom Dundon did for the Hurricanes – he was very outspoken about how he wanted to run the team and what he wanted them to achieve and they had their most successful year in recent history.
