Coming into the 2020 NFL season, there’s more buzz around the Cincinnati Bengals than there’s been in a LONG time. Nobody is necessarily expecting them to win a Super Bowl this year, but the inaugural year of the Joe Burrow era has Bengals fans feeling PRETTY excited.

Joe Burrow was the highly-coveted #1 overall pick out of LSU, who shows a ton of promise to become the franchise quarterback. He may need time to get acclimated to the league, but seeing as the Bengals last playoff win came in 1990 against the Houston Oilers, fans will take what they can get.

Unfortunately the debut of Burrow was spoiled by… well…

Not only was the kick wide after Randy Bullock pulled his calf muscle kicking it, but it came on the heels of a would-be touchdown that A.J. Green got dinged for offensive pass interference.

Is there any other team that could POSSIBLY lose in a fashion as unlucky as this? Maybe a few, but for the sake of Joe Burrow we’re hoping the franchise can shake the metaphorical monkey off their back.
