This time of year, there’s no better sound than the crack of a bat as it collides with a baseball. Opening Day of the MLB season normally provides us with that joy but this year is obviously a little bit different. March 26th was the scheduled starting date for the MLB season but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, that is no longer the case.
If you’re really craving baseball, there are some solutions. The Chinese Professional Baseball League began their season, and there have already been some satisfying home runs.
The CPBL regular season got underway on March 11th and teams are playing games in empty stadiums. It’s bizarre to see a baseball clear the back wall and not be met by a flurry of cheers.
Even without an audience, we’re certainly happy to see some baseball highlights once again. If you need even more baseball, the KBO is playing intrasquad games that are being streamed online.
