The summer of the Washington Capitals is over and in the final moments of their several-month celebration, they received their championship rings, but it wasn’t just the players.
As the Penguins have done in the past, the Capitals decided to get trophies for the players’ wives and girlfriends as well. As usual, the number one source for behind-the-scenes Capitals content was Alexander Ovechkin’s wife, Nastasiya. She posted serveral videos on her feed of some of their trophies.
They look a lot like the players’ rings except a little bit smaller, they’re on a necklace and they’re still covered in diamonds.
It seems like the Capitals went with only necklaces, whereas the Penguins allowed for the choice of a ring as well. Perhaps if they repeat they can have some more options.
