The Canadiens new player of the game award is a fantastic Game of Thrones nod

The Montreal Canadiens are one of the more promising young teams in the league.

They bolster youthful talent and exciting rookies, many of whom have already made some significant contributions this season, so it makes sense that a young team would want a contemporary player of the game award.

Last season, the Habs went with a Game of Thrones-style cape, which we thought was as cool as it gets.

Today, TSN’s John Lu gave us a sneak peak at the Habs' new player of the game award, which is also a GOT nod, but maybe even MORE intimidating than last year.
