Hockey is back and nature is healing.
And with teams playing in their respective home arenas comes dusting off the ol’ goal horns for the fans!
Oh wait, scratch that last part.
Prior to the Bruins home opener against the Philadelphia Flyers Thursday evening, the crew at TD Garden decided to test the goal horn prior to puck drop, and as refreshing as it is to hear the horn and those classic “Woah oh oh oh's” in TKernkraft 400, it’s almost...eerie.
Hearing that horn that instantly triggers Leafs Fans was strange and creepy in a sense since the music instantly cuts out and we don’t hear the “woahs” carried out by those Bruins-fans filled crowds.
At least the Bruins and fans at home were able to hear the horn go off and celebrate as the Bruins captured their first home victory of the 2021 season following their 5-4 win over the Flyers.
We guess it’s one of the things that at the moment seemed like nothing but we ultimately took for granted considering attending a live sports game seems almost like a fever dream at this rate.
Hopefully, not just us, but Bruins fans specifically can head back into the Garden to ease our minds from how loud that silence truly is.
