Ben Bishop’s career came to a sudden end less than a week ago after Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill confirmed that Bishop had a degenerative knee injury.
On Friday night the Stars were in St. Louis for a battle with the Blues, the team that happened to draft Bishop 85th overall back in 2005, and during a TV timeout the home team honoured their former goalie with a tribute video.
Bishop got an extremely warm reception from the Blues faithful and they got even louder when they showed the former goalie on the jumbotron.
Bishop only played 13 games and started eight with the Blues, but that didn’t stop the fans and the team from giving him a warm send-off.
