Power Rankings don’t mean much in terms of teams' actual performance of teams, but it is nice to see the league recognize your success. Some players like to look at these things and measure themselves against other squads, and if you’re a fan of the Blue Jays, you might want to look away from this last ranking made by the MLB.

The league just dropped their power rankings, and presumably, the Blue Jays would be on the rise after an impressive home-stand where the team went 9-2. Since the last power ranking was posted, the Jays’ record was 7-2, but it seems that wasn’t good enough to bump them up. In fact, they DROPPED 3 spots from 11-14.

The Blue Jays social media team responded to the decision with confusion.

The reasoning was that other teams were also playing well, which still doesn’t add up as to why one of the hottest teams in baseball didn’t even manage to keep their spot from last week.

That seems…odd.
