The Blue Jays’ 50/50 jackpot passes the $1 million mark for a new MLB record

Well, one Toronto Blue Jays fan is about to become a lucky winner.

After passing $1 million in prize money, the Blue Jays 50/50 jackpot is good for a new MLB record, and tickets remain available through the end of Tuesday night until the winning numbers are revealed.

With the Jays in Buffalo playing without fan support, this year’s draw will be conducted virtually, and the Jays faithful have certainly come through for an incredible 50/50 jackpot. The 50/50, operated by the Jays Care Foundation, will also go to benefit COVID-19 relief.

That said, we still have to give it up for Edmonton Oilers fans, who got their team’s 50/50 up to a $1.5 million jackpot last week.
